Elexia de la Parra is a creative entrepreneur and founder of ARTELEXIA, a retail shop specializing in Mexican gifts, art, décor, and gourmet foods located in the heart of North Park in San Diego, California. In addition, Elexia leads specialized tours to Oaxaca City through her company Eat. Drink. Cook. Mexico., and manages her own local certified farmers' market, North Park Farmers' Market, which takes place right outside her shop every Thursday.

Her life’s mission is to share the vibrant culture of Mexico through the carefully hand-selected items sold at ARTELEXIA, events such as her annual Day of the Dead Festival, craft workshops, and by supporting up-and-coming Latinx creatives and community service leaders.

Elexia grew up in Tijuana and San Diego, and in 2008 she was inspired to open her own retail shop after taking a road trip through the Southwest. ARTELEXIA was born as a small stand at her local Farmers' Market, which eventually led to her opening up her shop in 2010.
